Dear Chappy Hey buddy, I want you to know that I truly do appreciate everything you’ve ever done for me and my family. When my brother had the car accident, I know that without your help and support I wouldn’t have been able to cope. It’s so amazing how life can change in an instant and the idea of losing somebody close to me really freaked me out because I’ve lost so many people I love and another one so close to me as my big brother is, it would’ve destroyed me. Totally. The way you helped me through it all was so amazing. You are really an exceptional person Chappy. I’ve never met someone that wants to help people and not expect anything in return. You truly love helping people. You know that by making someone happy and helping them that it makes you happier that’s why so many people love you. To be honest when I first heard that you were at the hospital I was surprised but then I realised that it’s not a surprise, that’s the kind of person you are. You’d be there for anyone that needs comfort or someone to talk to. The thing that makes that so exceptional was that you were still there at 3 am with the boys making sure they were as OK as they could be. You then kept helping us out even though he was better. Like, you bought my family dinner. Such a small act of kindness meant so much to us. It was really beautiful. I remember that I gave you a hug when you gave it to me and you said that you weren’t allowed to hug students and I thought at the time that I’m not just a student, I’m a friend. You are a friend and no matter what I won’t forget any of the things you’ve done for us and me. I suppose I’ve grown up a bit these holidays. But I have to say thank you. Thank you for everything you’ve ever done for me and to help me. Thank you. If it wasn’t for your reference I wouldn’t have got into the audition for TAFE which in turn helped me get into the TAFE course. Thank you. I means so much to me. It really does. I’m wondering though . . . if I made an appointment with you even though I’m no longer a student, am I allowed to come and speak to you? Because I’ll have to come and visit now and then. Something that’s also great about you Chappy, is that you don’t judge people. You see the good in them. It’s so awesome. You’re awesome and so many people would agree. Anyway, I just wrote to say thank you for everything and I hope that your year (and plus some) is beautiful and filled with happy, good, fun times because you truly deserve the best as does your family. |
